We are empowered in part thanks to our partners:
Massachusetts Office of Refugees and Immigrants
Our citizenship program:
Prepares students with a better understanding of American history, government, civics, and geography.
The student is also prepared to read, write, and speak Basic English, required at the naturalization interview. Although we do not teach English as part of our citizenship program, we do help our students become familiar with the key terms listed on the citizenship application. Becoming familiar with the naturalization (N400) application is a very important component of our Program. During the semester, we help the student identify any “red flags” (obstacles) that may prevent him from becoming a U.S. citizen. We encourage our students to discuss his/her case with a lawyer or accredited representative before submitting the citizenship application.
Our classes are administered in English and in Spanish. Depending on your eligibility requirements, you may sign up for either one. We offer classes during different days of the week, different schedules and in two cities – Boston and East Boston.
If you have any questions, would like to enroll in our Citizenship classes or would like to determine if you are eligible to become a U.S. citizen, please contact us to make an appointment: 617-522-6382 or email us at info@agenciaalpha.org. Registration form here.
Because of the generous support of Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants & Fish Family Foundation, we can help you with the application process at no charge; and if eligible, we can also help you apply for a waiver fee in case you cannot afford to pay the $725.
